Life is ironic...

Here is a situation. There is one boy who has been waiting for the bus to come for almost an hour. He was late to his exam that day. He waited patiently but frustrated. Inside his mind, he was outrageous and thinking about what the heck is halting the bus from coming to the bus stop. And he couldn’t wait any longer and therefore, made up his mind to take the taxi that had been waiting eagerly for him to accept his service. However, as soon as he got into the taxi, 3 buses reached the bus stop nearly at once. He was overwhelmed. That boy is me.

Isn’t it life is ironic? Whenever there is something that you wanted it to happen, it would not happen. By the time you do not want it anymore, it is happening in front of your very own eyes. You would say that it is co-incidence but it is more than co-incidence.

Another example from my own experience would be finding my lost eraser or pen-drive. The time when I wanted to use it, it would disappear from my sight. And then, I would spend the rest of the day hunting for it, hoping that it would listen to my prayer and reveal itself but to no avail. So, I gave up searching for it and continue doing my other important task. By next day, it would suddenly pop out of nowhere and I could feel it laughing wickedly for its success in playing tricks on me.

One of my friends also has another similar encounter with my previous experience. She always brings her umbrella to class everyday in case of raining because she lives quite a short distance so she could always walk to class. However, sometimes, when she forgets to bring the umbrella, there it goes, that day would be raining cats and dogs and she would be wet to get home. She blames the bad luck that she has but I knew that this kind of situations happen to almost everyone if not all.

So, what I think is that sometimes life is very unpredictable. The more you hoped for it to happen, the more it would not happen. Therefore, just pray the best that you could and do not hope for more than what you should because life is just unexpected. It would happen the other way round when it seems to be perfectly normal. That is life, an ironic life.
